The HTC One has now been officially launched at a media event scheduled just days before the Mobile World Congress in order that attention can solely focused on this new flagship phone.

There is no doubt that it is an awe inspiring, high-end smartphone with a premium build, great design and some best in class features.

The new device is the most powerful around with the latest and greatest processor newly available from Qualcomm, a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor. This will give the phone some serious processing power.

The HTC One runs on Android Jelly Bean combined with the latest version of HTC Sense UI which has some brand new features.

The design and build are first rate. The phone is superbly crafted from aluminium in a unibody design with what is described as zero-gap construction. The look is distinctive and minimalist. The device is flat and very thin. It feels sturdy to hold and the overall effect is one of high quality and superior design.

The two standout features however are the display and the new camera technology. The HTC One has a 4.7” LCD display which takes up practically the whole of the front screen and uses new technology making it the most impressive display in any HTC phone so far and with brilliant, crisp images and colours. The camera also used brand new technology with the introduction of “ultrapixels”. It has 4 megapixels which is a big departure from current best in class phone cameras but the pixels are bigger and let in more light which is meant to vastly improve image quality especially in low light conditions.
